Mark concentrates his law practice to representing people who have been harmed in any manner by the wrongful conduct of other people or corporations. His passion for lending a helping hand to those in need has resulted in Mark handling just about every type of personal injury case we can imagine. Those types of cases include bicycle and motorcycle accidents, auto accidents, slips and falls, construction or work-site accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, railroad accidents and workers’ compensation, and wrongful death. Once Mark accepts a case, he devotes his best effort including donating all necessary financial resources to prosecute a case, to get the best possible result. This effort is put forth for each and every client, regardless of whether one considers a case to be “big” or “small”.

Mark is proud to have served on the Executive Committee of the Illinois Trial Lawyers’ Association (ITLA) for over a decade. ITLA, particularly the Executive Committee, is deeply involved in legislative matters, including pushing for legislation favorable to injured victims and defeating proposed legislation that would reduce or take away the rights of injured victims. In 2024, he was selected to serve again. “I am very honored that our current President, Sara Salger, has asked me to serve on her Executive Committee. Our committee has important work to do and I am proud to be a part of it,” Mark commented.

In 2024, Mark was additionally selected to be a part of the Executive Board of AAJ (American Association for Justice)’s Premises Liability Section and was elected as the Vice Chair – Publications of AAJ’s Jury Bias Litigation Group.

Mark is a member of Injury Board and is also a member of the ATAA (Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys).

Articles

Because Mark believes in helping all injured people obtain a fair and reasonable monetary compensation for their losses, even if he doesn’t represent them, he frequently lectures other lawyers on various aspects of personal injury law. The thrust of his presentations has been to teach the “nuts and bolts” no how to maximize the monetary recovery for an injured person.

He has presented seminars at the request of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Mark looks forward to delivering many more teaching seminars in the future.

Non-Legal Activities

In 2011, Governor Patrick Quinn appointed Mark to serve as a labor representative to the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Advisory Board. In this capacity, Mark is able to make recommendations that will make the workers’ compensation system more effective and efficient for the injured worker.
